Bad News for Brainy People

PAUL

The Apostle Paul was a brilliant man who possessed one of the finest minds of his time. He even refers to himself as a "Pharisee of the pharisees." He was truly zealous for God, but his zeal was corrupted into tormenting Christian families and hauling them to jail. Obviously he totally missed what God was doing!

The good news is Paul had a dramatic encounter with Jesus, causing him to become one of Christianity's greatest champions. His brilliant mind was combined with revelation knowledge, which enabled him to produce most of our New Testament scriptures:

"I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ."  Galatians 1:11,12

And that's not all: It was revelation knowledge that prompted Paul to go to Jerusalem, to share with the Apostles the gospel that Jesus had given him to preach to the Gentiles. Galatians 2:2 Everything Paul learned about the Mystery of Christ, he was taught by the Holy Spirit through revelation knowledge.  Ephesians 3:1-4

Paul took a supernatural trip into the very throne room of God, where he was shown things that were so strange and fantastic, there were not words to express them.  2 Corinthians 12:1-7

If you are a smart person, and you pride yourself on your scholarly learning, then be like Paul, who made sure to leave room in his life for the strange, the bizarre, the supernatural and the unexplainable.
