THE BIRTH OF JESUS
When Jesus was born, it was the most incredible moment in all the universe! Here was God, entering into the womb of a woman, being born nine months later on a tiny little planet in the faraway galaxy as a helpless little baby in a manure-filled stable! Not at all what you would expect from he who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
And how did man respond to all this? You would expect the college-educated religious leaders to pinpoint exactly when, where, how and why the Messiah would appear. After all, it was their job to know such things! And yet, not a single one of those Ph.D.s had the privilege of watching God at work! And who did get to see this astonishing thing that God was doing? A bunch of high school dropout shepherds.
Again we see the evidence that only revelation knowledge can give you insight into what God is doing. Being smart actually becomes a hindrance, because pre-conceived ideas are formed as to how God is supposed to work. Inevitably, those ideas are wrong, which lead you to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong people, doing the wrong thing. Even the very wrong thing of trying to murder your own God.
