THE FINEST MIND
Satan was the crowning creation of God, endowed with great beauty, wisdom and power. Unfortunately, he fell in love with himself, and decided that with all his talents and virtues, he could actually become God. Isaiah 14:12-20
Satan decided he didn't like taking orders from God, so he rebelled, and in his rebellion, he convinced one third of the angelic host to join forces with him. Revelation 12:1-9 These fallen angels are what we now call demons. For those of you who think you are pretty smart, you need to be aware who you are up against. Compared to his brain power and his capabilities of deception, if all your wisdom was rolled into a ball and placed on the edge of a razor blade, it would look like a pea in the middle of a four lane freeway!
If you want to be fully wise, then you need to quickly realize that you are no match against Satan's brainpower. Since he is quite capable of interjecting false meanings directly into our minds as we read the scriptures, every one of us should consider ourselves as having already been poisoned by his insidious evil. It happened to Peter, and it can surely happen to you. One moment he was speaking divine words under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and the next moment Satan's own words were shooting forth from his lips:
"Peter took him [Jesus] aside and began to rebuke him. 'Never, Lord!' he said. 'This shall never happen to you!' Jesus turned and said to Peter, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me.'" Matthew 16:22,23
Don't make the fatal assumption that just because the Holy Spirit used you in the past, that you have become such a "holy vessel" that "Satan can't get in here," because he can.
