PARABLE OF THE TALENTS 

It is my personal belief that the Parable of the Talents also applies to churches. Matthew 25:14-30   Each church has been given "doctrinal talents," of which Christ expects them to wisely "invest." The church that is currently making wise use of its particular talents will receive even more from the hand of the Master. 

If you or your church want to receive more from God, then I strongly suggest you make the best use of what He has already given you. After you have shown yourself faithful in the little things, then God will entrust you with greater things, including revelations that are so weighty and powerful, that even mighty men like Daniel who received them fell down sick and astonished from what he was shown. Daniel 8:26,27 

Obviously it is not our goal to become sick every time God shows us something, but we do want to be prepared to receive greater things from God than the "Saturday Morning Cartoons'" worth of simple revelation that we are currently receiving in the bulk of our churches. Do I sound too harsh by saying this? Then consider how little effect and how little power the church has in solving the problems that are ripping our world to pieces. It is not without reason that our church age is called "having a form of godliness, but denying its power." 2Timothy 3:5
