NEW AND OLD TREASURES "He [Jesus] said to them, 'Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storehouse new treasures as well as old.'" Matthew 13:52 Because the Bible has been written by God, every time someone teaches from it, you should be discovering new treasures. If either yourself or your teachers open the Bible and only find the old and familiar, then it is a safe bet that revelation knowledge is missing from the life of that teacher. If you would like the opportunity to enjoy some of the "new treasures" that God is revealing in his Living Word, then I recommend you get yourself one or more of these books, and see how fresh God's truths can be: The House of the Lord, by Francis Frangipane (Creation House 1991) --Solidly Biblical and very, very fresh! One of the best books ever for the 1990s. Adventism For a New Generation, by Steve Daily (Better Living Publishers 1993: call 1-800-879-4214) --If you are SDA, then this book will reveal God's great Love like you've never seen it before. This book is bold, courageous, and filled with life. Eternity in Their Hearts, by Don Richardson (Regal Books 1981) --This book is one of my all-time favorites. Don Richardson shows God's powerful rituals hidden in primitive tribes. Rebuilding the Real You, by Jack Hayford (Regal Books 1986) --Fresh and practical insights from the book of Nehemiah. The Morning Star Journal, by Rick Joyner (16000 Lancaster Hwy, Charlotte, NC 28277: call 704-542-0278) --a large variety of articles from many recognized leaders, prophetic and non. |
