ONLY FRIENDS KNOW WHAT GOD IS DOING 

You can be a servant of God, and still not understand what it is God is doing. Jesus reveals this truth: 

"I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."  John 15:15 

You can serve God full time, but until you become God's Friend, God's purposes will continue to remain hidden from you. To become God's Friend is not something you can choose to do; John makes it clear that this is something that Christ must initiate: "I have called you friends." If you want to become God's friend, there is something you can do to get Christ's attention and make yourself eligible for His friendship: 

"You are my friends if you do what I command." John 15:14 

To be Christ's friend is going to cost you something. You are going to have to set aside cheap grace and learn to discipline yourself to no longer fulfill the lusts of the flesh. This is not an easy task, but the rewards of revelation knowledge are very sweet indeed!
