RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH 

It is not enough to have an understanding of the verses in Scripture; they also must be correctly divided. Just look around you at all the different church denominations to see how difficult this really is! For example, one group emphasizes this verse:  

"For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law." Romans 3:28 

Whereas another group latches onto this scripture: 

"You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone."  James 2:24 

The kind of church you end up with will depend on which verse gets priority in your belief structure. The problem here is that neither group "rightly divides the Word of Truth" 2 Timothy 2:15  

A good example of this is a comparison between God's wrath and God's love. I used to think it was 50/50, but now I realize it is four parts wrath to 1,000 parts love. Exodus 20:5,6  Again, without revelation knowledge, you will not know where to correctly divide God's word, no matter how many word studies you do!
