HITLER'S TANKS 

World War I degraded into a massive trench warfare, with both sides dug in deeply. At the end of that war, France decided from that experience that the best defense would be to build a SUPERTRENCH, which became known as the Maginot Line.  

Meanwhile, Hitler built himself some tanks. When World War II broke out, he took his tanks and he simply swept around the outside edges of the Maginot Line, and easily defeated the deeply entrenched, but totally immobilized, French army.  

The spiritual lesson is this: We have clearly seen that God's Bible is filled with mysteries. We know that God's plans unfold according to His timing and His purposes. We also know that to trust our minds to comprehend what God is about to do is slippery ground. My counsel to you is to beware of the danger of being so cocksure that you build for yourself a "doctrinal supertrench." If you do, you can be sure that Satan will bury you in it! 

If you want to remain alert to what God is doing in these last days, then I suggest you learn to be as "doctrinally flexible" as Hitler's tanks. Yes you want to anchor your beliefs in the Word of God , but you must also train your spiritual ears to hear the slightest whisper of the Holy Spirit, and be humble enough to acknowledge that you may very well have been building a Supertrench out of  "wood, hay and stubble." 1 Corinthians 3:10-15
