THE DREAM GENERATION 

For those of you who have based your religion on reason and logic, you are going to have great difficulty in the years ahead. There appears to be a groundswell of consensus among Christian leaders in America that we are truly entering the Last Days. Here is what Joel has to say about the times in which we live: 

"And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days." Joel 2:28,29 

Dreams, visions and prophesies are all clothed in divine riddles and dark symbols, and can only be interpreted in subjective ways.  This method of communication from God is going to cause great consternation and frustration to those who like their Truth served in crisp, well-defined pieces. If you are such a person, you are just going to hate this next move of God! 

I can testify that God is speaking through dreams that are hard to understand. It is not without reason that the Bible says the young men will be shown visions, while the old men will be given dreams, Acts 2:17  because you need all the wisdom and experience you can muster to decipher deeply hidden dream meanings.  

If you feel that God is perhaps speaking to you through dreams, or if you want to show God you are taking his prophecies seriously, then I suggest you gain some groundwork in dream interpretation. There are not many books available on the subject, but two that I have found to be helpful are: Your Dreams: God's Neglected Gifts by Herman Riffel (Chosen Book 1981) and Breakthrough Dreaming by Dr. Gayle Delany (Bantam Books 1991).
