HARD SAYINGS 

Some of the truths of God are just plain hard to understand. Here is what happened to some of Christ's followers when they encountered some of his rock-hard nuts:  "On hearing it, many of his disciples said, 'This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?' From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him." John 6:60,66 

When you encounter some of these rock-hard nuts, you need to learn a lesson from the movie, Annie Hall: Woody Allen is standing in line with his date, Diane Keaton. They are discussing a book by Marshall McCullan. A bystander takes offense at their comments, and begins a heated argument against Woody's interpretations. Woody ends the argument when he physically produces Marshall McCullan himself to explain in person the actual meanings of his theories. 

I believe that many of the teachings in the Bible, especially the prophesies, the Psalms and the writings of Paul, are indeed rock-hard nuts. I also believe that the conflicts over interpretation that exist among the churches will finally be resolved -- when Christ himself or his servants the angels appear to Christians, and give us the correct interpretation to his Word. Prepare yourself for these divine encounters with the Living God!
