HOMETOWN PROPHETS 

You want to keep alert for "Hometown Prophets." These are men and women in your church community that you have known for years. Then suddenly one day they receive "power from on High," and they are no longer secretaries or construction workers. Now they have become prophets, boldly proclaiming mysteries from heaven with authority and power! 

Keep your eye out for these people, because Christ said your natural inclination will be to reject them:  "After the two days he [Jesus] left for Galilee. (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.)"  John 4:43,44 

If you are not careful, you also may end up chasing away Jesus, who visits you inside someone you have known for years!
