The Event

And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said, Job 22:1

2

 

Can a man be useful to God, as he who is wise may be useful to himself? Job 22:2

3

 

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous, or gain to Him that you make your ways perfect? Job 22:3

4

 

Will He reprove you because of your reverence, or enter into judgment with you? Job 22:4

5

 

Is not your wickedness great, and your iniquity without measure? Job 22:5

6

 

For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing. Job 22:6

7

 

You have not given water to the weary to drink, and you have held back bread from the hungry. Job 22:7

8

 

But as for the mighty man, he had the earth, and the honored man lived in it. Job 22:8

9

 

You have sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken. Job 22:9

10

 

Therefore snares are all around you, and sudden fear troubles you; Job 22:10

11

 

or darkness, so that you cannot see; and a flood of waters covers you. Job 22:11

12

 

Is not God high in Heaven? And behold the leading stars, for they are high. Job 22:12

13

 

And you say, What does God know? Can He judge through the dark cloud? Job 22:13

14

 

Clouds are a covering to Him, so that He does not see; and He walks in the circuit of Heaven. Job 22:14

15

 

Do you keep to the old way which wicked men have walked? Job 22:15

16

 

They were seized, but there was not time; their foundation was poured out by a flood; Job 22:16

17

 

who said to God, Depart from us; and, What can the Almighty do to them? Job 22:17

18

 

Yet He filled their houses with substance; and the wisdom of the wicked is far from me. Job 22:18

19

 

The righteous see it, and are glad; and the innocent laugh them to scorn. Job 22:19

20

 

Truly our foe is not cut down, and fire has eaten their wealth. Job 22:20

21

 

Now be of service with Him, and be at peace. Good shall come to you by them. Job 22:21

22

 

Please receive the Law from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart. Job 22:22

23

 

If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up; you shall put away injustice far from your tents. Job 22:23

24

 

Then you shall lay up gold like dust, and among the rock of the torrents of Ophir. Job 22:24

25

 

Yea, the Almighty shall be your gold and silver, and strength to you. Job 22:25

26

 

For then you shall have your delight in the Almighty, and shall lift up your face to God. Job 22:26

27

 

You shall make your prayer to Him, and He shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows. Job 22:27

28

 

You shall also order a thing, and it shall be fulfilled to you; and the light shall shine on your ways. Job 22:28

29

 

For they have humiliated you, and you shall say, Pride! And He shall save the lowly of eyes. Job 22:29

30

 

He shall deliver one not innocent, and will deliver by the pureness of your hands. Job 22:30
