And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said, Job 22:1 |
|
|
2 |
|
Can a man be useful to God, as he who is wise may be useful to himself? Job 22:2 |
|
3 |
|
Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous, or gain to Him that you make your ways perfect? Job 22:3 |
|
4 |
|
Will He reprove you because of your reverence, or enter into judgment with you? Job 22:4 |
|
5 |
|
Is not your wickedness great, and your iniquity without measure? Job 22:5 |
|
6 |
|
For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing. Job 22:6 |
|
7 |
|
You have not given water to the weary to drink, and you have held back bread from the hungry. Job 22:7 |
|
8 |
|
But as for the mighty man, he had the earth, and the honored man lived in it. Job 22:8 |
|
9 |
|
You have sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken. Job 22:9 |
|
10 |
|
Therefore snares are all around you, and sudden fear troubles you; Job 22:10 |
|
11 |
|
or darkness, so that you cannot see; and a flood of waters covers you. Job 22:11 |
|
12 |
|
Is not God high in Heaven? And behold the leading stars, for they are high. Job 22:12 |
|
13 |
|
And you say, What does God know? Can He judge through the dark cloud? Job 22:13 |
|
14 |
|
Clouds are a covering to Him, so that He does not see; and He walks in the circuit of Heaven. Job 22:14 |
|
15 |
|
Do you keep to the old way which wicked men have walked? Job 22:15 |
|
16 |
|
They were seized, but there was not time; their foundation was poured out by a flood; Job 22:16 |
|
17 |
|
who said to God, Depart from us; and, What can the Almighty do to them? Job 22:17 |
|
18 |
|
Yet He filled their houses with substance; and the wisdom of the wicked is far from me. Job 22:18 |
|
19 |
|
The righteous see it, and are glad; and the innocent laugh them to scorn. Job 22:19 |
|
20 |
|
Truly our foe is not cut down, and fire has eaten their wealth. Job 22:20 |
|
21 |
|
Now be of service with Him, and be at peace. Good shall come to you by them. Job 22:21 |
|
22 |
|
Please receive the Law from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart. Job 22:22 |
|
23 |
|
If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up; you shall put away injustice far from your tents. Job 22:23 |
|
24 |
|
Then you shall lay up gold like dust, and among the rock of the torrents of Ophir. Job 22:24 |
|
25 |
|
Yea, the Almighty shall be your gold and silver, and strength to you. Job 22:25 |
|
26 |
|
For then you shall have your delight in the Almighty, and shall lift up your face to God. Job 22:26 |
|
27 |
|
You shall make your prayer to Him, and He shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows. Job 22:27 |
|
28 |
|
You shall also order a thing, and it shall be fulfilled to you; and the light shall shine on your ways. Job 22:28 |
|
29 |
|
For they have humiliated you, and you shall say, Pride! And He shall save the lowly of eyes. Job 22:29 |
|
30 |
|
He shall deliver one not innocent, and will deliver by the pureness of your hands. Job 22:30 |
