The Event |
1 |
Elihu went on and said, Job 36:1 |
2 |
Wait for me a little, and I will show you that there are yet words for God. Job 36:2 |
3 |
I will bring my knowledge from afar, and I will credit righteousness to my Maker. Job 36:3 |
4 |
For truly my words are not false; He who is perfect in knowledge is with you. Job 36:4 |
5 |
Behold, God is mighty, and does not despise; He is mighty in strength of heart. Job 36:5 |
6 |
He will not keep alive one who is wicked, but gives right to the afflicted. Job 36:6 |
7 |
He withdraws not His eyes from the righteous, but they are like kings on the throne; yes, He causes them to sit forever, and they are very high. Job 36:7 |
8 |
And if they are bound in chains, and are held in cords of affliction, Job 36:8 |
9 |
then He shows them their work, and their sins, that they have behaved themselves proudly. Job 36:9 |
10 |
He also opens their ears to teaching, and commands that they return from iniquity. Job 36:10 |
11 |
If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in blessedness, and their years in pleasures. Job 36:11 |
12 |
But if they do not obey, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge. Job 36:12 |
13 |
But the ungodly in heart heap up wrath; they cry not when He binds them. Job 36:13 |
14 |
Their soul dies in youth, and their life ends among the sodomites. Job 36:14 |
15 |
He delivers the poor in his affliction, and opens their ears by oppression. Job 36:15 |
16 |
And He also would have lured you from the mouth of distress to a wide place not cramped; and the setting of your table would be full of fatness. Job 36:16 |
17 |
But you have fulfilled the judgment of the wicked; judgment and justice take hold; Job 36:17 |
18 |
For beware wrath, that He not lure you with His scorn; then a great ransom cannot turn you aside. Job 36:18 |
19 |
If your cry for help is set in order, then it will not be in distress, but with all the forces of strength. Job 36:19 |
20 |
Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place. Job 36:20 |
21 |
Beware, do not turn to iniquity; for this you have chosen rather than affliction. Job 36:21 |
22 |
Behold, God is exalted in His power; who teaches like Him? Job 36:22 |
23 |
Who has appointed Him His way; or who can say, You have done wrong? Job 36:23 |
24 |
Remember that you magnify His work of which men have sung; Job 36:24 |
25 |
every man has seen it; man may see it afar off. Job 36:25 |
26 |
Behold, God is great, and we do not know; the number of His years cannot be searched out. Job 36:26 |
27 |
For He draws up the drops of water; they distill rain into mist, Job 36:27 |
28 |
which the clouds pour down and drop on man plentifully. Job 36:28 |
29 |
Also can any understand the spreading of the clouds, or the crashing of His canopy? Job 36:29 |
30 |
Behold, He spreads His light on it, and He covers the bottom of the sea. Job 36:30 |
31 |
For by them He judges the people; He gives plenty of food. Job 36:31 |
32 |
He covers His hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark; Job 36:32 |
33 |
its thunder declares concerning Him, and the cattle, concerning what is coming. Job 36:33 |
