Five excited pigs ride
in the back of a canvas truck
to Chicago
It is the annual hot dog prom
and they will dance all night
in the warm mud
with another thousand prom-age pigs.

In the morning,
they will ride the bacon bus
to the supermarket,
and you can see them in their
cellophane tuxedos
packaged on the shelf.
