I have been suffering from a rare skin disease call Prurigo Nodularis since 2000. I have been to about twelve doctors, including nine dermatologists, and I only received the correct diagnosis in January 2003. Pictures of my condition Here are pics of my body when PN was at my worst on March 11, 2003 and then with 70% improvement by April 9, 2003. This came about largely from Narrowband Ultraviolet Light (NBUVB) treatments, which I did 3 times a week. It is now April 2004, and I am saddened to report that I have gotten somewhat worse since last year. I have about 250 bumps all over my body that don't want to go away, and every week new itchy spots appear that get scratched and bleed. But, I am still 50% better than I was compared to March 11, 2003. |
