Hidden Sugars and their potential Adverse Effects on Health Sugar, refined or other forms, is a major culprit in the development of diseases. The problem is sugar can be well hidden from the public since it goes by many other different names that people may not be aware. People may be consuming sugar foods without even knowing it. White Sugar Syrups Maple Syrup Molasses Glucose Mannitol Sorbitol Galactose Monosaccharides Date Sugar Candy Soft Drinks Pastries Ice Cream Chocolate Carob Barley Malt Brown Sugar Cane Sugar Corn Syrup Date Sugar Dextrose Fructose High Fructose Corn Syrup Honey Invert Sugar Lactose Levulose Maltose Milk Sugar Rice Syrup Succinate Sucrose Turbinado Sugar 3 ounces of sucrose eaten in one sitting reduces the ability of white blood cells to engulf bacteria and other invaders by 40%. The effect can start a half hour after eating and lasts more than 6 hours. 2 ounces of glucose suppresses the activity of B- and T-Lymphocytes, key components of immunity. A single soft drink may contain 2 ounces of sugar or more. Here is a list of adverse side effects of sugar. I find sugar makes my PN worse. Fruits and fruit juices also contain a lot of fruit sugars. According to Dr. Young, author of the PH Miracle, he recommends people avoid eating large amounts of fruits to avoid the sugars. Whether it's refined sugars or natural fruit sugars, the body processes it the same way. The more sugar harmful microforms get, the faster they reproduce and the more they decompose and ferment your body from the inside. This fermentation converts the sugars to alcohol and other mycotoxins, thereby creating an increased acidic internal biological environment.
