Steroid Injections + Atarax + Omega 3&6 --The injections helped immensely. My Derm says the injections directly into the sores are a form of the clobetasol in the liquid form. Believe me the atrax, generic name hydroxyzine HCL , is the very best thing i have taken for the itching...Please give it a try..My life almost seems normal between using these two things. Additionally, my derm has me taking omega 3 & 6, 4 capsules twice a day. I guess I should be happy I'm not itching anymore but theses scars are so ugly. |

Steroid shots every two to three weeks --I've seen some improvement in the worst areas. However, I've discontinued the shots because it goes counter to the natural remedies I'm now doing. |

Kenalog Shots --Kenalog shots have been a lifesaver. I have been having Kenalog shots for over 2 years now and they work. They are of course quite painful, but once you get it under control, then it just sort of becomes maintenance. I probably have less than a dozen active lesions, anything that starts to flare up is generally shut down quickly by this stuff. It's not for everyone, but it helps get it under control. |

IV Antibiotics --As some of you know, I did the treatments in Mexico which really sped up my healing. One of the treatments was I.V. H202. However, since last summer I've been singing the praises of I.V. antibiotics, which healed me 99%. |

IV Hydrogen Peroxide --It is hydrogen peroxide in put in an iv that takes about an hour and a half. I did it 3 times a week last summer. My skin started drying the sores and after one month I was free of itching. Honest. My back never ever itches, it was a dream come true. There are pros and cons but I never experienced anything but the cost of it. It did not get rid of PN but it got rid of the itching. |

Antibiotics --If you have stomach ulcers also you need to have your Dr test you for H.Pylori... it is a bacteria that has recently been linked to unknown skin rashes. I had a really high level and am now on a regimen of high doses of 2 antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor and my sores seem to be drying up. Its worth a shot for you. |

Kenalog Shots & Triamcinalone Shots --My doc started my treatment by giving me 40 mg of Kenalog in the hip. This is good for 4 months. The first time I had the shot, there was no itching for 2 months. Then it started to come back slowly. She also gave me individual injections in each of the nodules with 10 mg of Triamcinalone. Last May I started out with 5 1/2 syringes of Triamcinalone. Now a year later and I am down to less than 1 syringe. I went every 3 weeks, sometimes 2 weeks when the itching was unbearable. The last 4 months have been every 2 weeks to get them gone faster. I now have 1 on my right upper arm, 1 on my left arm, 3 on my right leg and 3 on my left leg. I talked for months to my derm. about getting laser hair removal, but she said she didn't think it would help. Well, it has. It has been 2 weeks now since I have had it done, and the itching has decreased 98%. |
