PRURIGO Nodularis & When It Started

04-12-06	Carolinportland	Breast Cancer Surgery --As I have posted before, mine started with a breast cancer surgery 4 years ago.
08-24-06	Sharon	Bug Bite --I just got this PN problem 6 months ago, I do not know what's triggered it? It's happened after I came back from Club Med Bintan, I suspect it insect bite or some kind of sea creatures have triggered it.

08-23-06	Shbhs	Bug Bite --my condition started in 2003. I was visiting England and got bit by something, possibly a spider. I had 4 puncture wounds on my ankle area. PN started about 6 months after that.
08-13-06	Marlene	Bug Bites --When I contracted PN in 1999, I was living with a family out of state (I live in NYC). I was hosted by this family while performing in a regional theatre for 7 weeks. My living quarters were in the basement, which included their sick cat. They did not know what was wrong with the cat. It was listless, and just not 'itself'. There were definitely mites or fleas on this cat, and in the basement carpeting as well. I even saw them on my bed. I began to get small sores on my right upper arm. I thought they'd go away, once I left, and thought they were flea or mite bites. They never went away, and spread to an advanced case of PN which is all over my body. I always thought that those fleas or mites triggered the disease, or perhaps was the cause.
08-13-06	Dinakandy	Flea Bites --when I think back to when I first contracted pn my mom had cats in her home also and yes they had fleas or ticks and they bit my lower legs and I scratched my legs like crazy, but here is the thing my sisters and my niece were bitten as well and none of them have pn, I try to think why me? The only thing I could think of is that I have other illnesses and take medications since I was eleven years old.
