The Event |
1 |
And I looked, and lo, the Lamb |
1 |
stood on Mount Zion. |
1 |
And with Him were a hundred and forty-four thousands, |
1 |
having His Father's name written in their foreheads. --Rev 14:1 |
2 |
And I heard a voice from Heaven, |
2 |
like the voice of many waters |
2 |
and like the voice of a great thunder. |
2 |
And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps. --Rev 14:2 |
3 |
And they sang as it were a new song before the throne |
3 |
and before the four living creatures |
3 |
and the elders. |
3 |
And no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousands who were redeemed from the earth. --Rev 14:3 |
4 |
These are those who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. |
4 |
These are those who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. |
4 |
These were redeemed from among men, as a firstfruit to God and to the Lamb. --Rev 14:4 |
5 |
And in their mouth was found no guile, |
5 |
for they were without blemish |
5 |
before the throne of God. --Rev 14:5 |
6 |
And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven, |
6 |
having the everlasting gospel to preach to those dwelling on the earth, even to every nation and kindred and tongue and people, --Rev 14:6 |
7 |
saying with a great voice, |
7 |
Fear God and give glory to Him! |
7 |
For the hour of His judgment has come. |
7 |
And worship Him |
7 |
who made the heaven and the earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. --Rev 14:7 |
8 |
And another angel followed, saying, |
8 |
The great city, Babylon, has fallen, has fallen; |
8 |
because of the wine of the anger of her fornication; |
8 |
she has made all nations to drink. --Rev 14:8 |
9 |
And a third angel followed them, |
9 |
saying with a great voice, |
9 |
If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives a mark in his forehead or in his hand, --Rev 14:9 |
10 |
he also will drink of the wine of the anger of God, having been mixed undiluted in the cup of His wrath. |
10 |
And he will be tormented by fire and brimstone |
10 |
before the holy angels, |
10 |
and in the presence of the Lamb. --Rev 14:10 |
11 |
And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. |
11 |
And they have no rest day or night, |
11 |
those who worship the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name. --Rev 14:11 |
12 |
Here is the patience of the saints. |
12 |
Here are the ones who keep the commandments of God |
12 |
and the faith of Jesus. --Rev 14:12 |
13 |
And I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me, |
13 |
Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. |
13 |
Yes, says the Spirit, they shall rest from their labors, and their works follow them. --Rev 14:13 |
14 |
And I looked, and behold, a white cloud. |
14 |
And on the cloud sat one like the Son of man, |
14 |
having a golden crown on His head, |
14 |
and a sharp sickle in His hand. --Rev 14:14 |
15 |
And another angel |
15 |
came out of the temple, |
15 |
crying in a great voice |
15 |
to Him sitting on the cloud, |
15 |
Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, |
15 |
for the harvest of the earth was dried. --Rev 14:15 |
16 |
And He sitting on the cloud |
16 |
thrust in His sickle on the earth, |
16 |
and the earth was reaped. --Rev 14:16 |
17 |
And another angel |
17 |
came out of the temple in Heaven, |
17 |
also having a sharp sickle. --Rev 14:17 |
18 |
And another angel |
18 |
came out from the altar, |
18 |
who had authority over fire. |
18 |
And he spoke with a great cry |
18 |
to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle, |
18 |
and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe. --Rev 14:18 |
19 |
And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth |
19 |
and gathered the vine of the earth, |
19 |
and cast it into the great winepress of the anger of God. --Rev 14:19 |
20 |
And the winepress was trodden |
20 |
outside the city, |
20 |
and blood came out of the winepress, |
20 |
even to the bridles of the horses, for the space of a thousand, six hundred stadia. --Rev 14:20 |
