Inner Vision - The SDA Church |
I awoke from my sleep on March 8, 1994 at 11:30pm, and while I was still awake, I saw the following inner vision about the SDA church: I saw the SDA church as a young girl. I couldn't tell for sure how old she was: somewhere between six and seven. There was a fierce storm blowing outside: the sky was filled with thick, black, snarling clouds, icy rain was pouring down from the boiling sky, while jagged lightning continually struck and shook the ground around her like exploding bombs. It was a frigid night, but this little girl was out there in the storm, sitting in a chilled puddle of icy water in the dark street. |
The mother of this girl was God, and she opened the door and urgently called for her daughter to get out of that raging storm and come into the warm safety of her house. Her daughter just ignored her. She continued to sit in that awful puddle, shivering from the cold as icy rain steadily drenched her, and her very pretty and frilly dress was now ruined with mud. She was also in danger of being electrocuted, as lighting bolts continued to strike perilously close to where she was sitting. |
This little girl did not really want to be outside, but she was very stubborn, and did not like being told what to do. She could see the warm glow coming from the open door where her loving mother stood, and she really did want to go inside and take a nice hot bath, change into fresh, clean clothes, and drink a steaming cup of hot chocolate and play with her toys, but this little girl hated being told what to do, even if it was coming from her mother. So she refused to leave that freezing puddle and go into the warm, wonderful safety of God's house. |
I then saw that Mother God had to do something about her child's defiant attitude. I knew that God would not allow her daughter to be electrocuted, but I also knew that God needed to teach her daughter a lesson about loving obedience. I also saw that Mother God knew the future, and so she concluded that the lightning would not strike the puddle where her daughter was sitting, so she was not in danger of being struck by lightning. |
Since the daughter remained so insolent towards her mother, I saw that God was just on the verge on closing the door of that warm, loving house. This would leave her rebellious daughter to remain all alone in the hostile darkness, sitting and shivering outside in that icy pool, constantly drenched with falling rain, trembling with fear at the closeness of the lightning explosions. God was just about to let her SDA daughter have her own way, and abandon her to her defiant misery in the angry night. |
Once Mother God closed that door, I knew that this little girl was going to experience a terrible feeling of panic, abandonment and horrible loneliness. She was going to have to make a decision quickly, but I could not discern how that little girl would respond to her Mother's call. It was Mother God's hope and desire that the darkness of the closed door would cause her rebellious child to come to her senses and come running inside, where her mother would eagerly open it up and let her in, but her daughter's spirit of defiance and rebellion was great. It was quite possible that the little SDA girl would spend the entire stormy night sitting in that freezing puddle, shivering with fear and desperately miserable. |
I did know that when the morning came, that little SDA girl would come safely inside the house, but Mother God has left it up to her daughter as to how she shall spend the night. |
