The Bible is filled with analogies, parables, symbols and ceremonies that reveal how Totally Saved we really are. One of the symbols God uses to try and communicate this eternal security message is the symbol of adoption:

"For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.' The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children."  Romans 8:15,16

Yes, you were born a sinner. Yes, you were infected with the cancer of sin. Yes, you were an enemy of God. But then Father God was lonely for children, so he came to the orphanage of Earth, and as he looked over the rows of Adam's fallen sons and daughters, his eyes looked down at you, dying in your crib, and his huge heart of love leaped within Him, and God cried out: "YES! This is the child I want!"

God then turned to the manager of the orphanage, and said: "How much will it cost me to adopt this baby?" The manager, who is none other than Satan,  replied cruelly, "BLOOD. I want blood. If you want the baby, you'll have to pay me with your divine blood."

God gasped at how high such a price was, but because He is God, He formed a brilliant plan, and so He eagerly signed the contract to "Pay for you with blood." But then Father God did a marvelous thing: He did not give the blood to Satan at all; instead He tricked him, and gave his blood to you in a BLOOD TRANSFUSION, through the death of Christ, and your fatal disease of sin was healed!

Do you really think that God, who paid to adopt you with his own blood, will throw you out of His Eternal Family? NO WAY! God paid that high price so you could be TOTALLY SAVED!
